Taittinger’s first single-vineyard champagne, Les Folies de la Marquetterie is a blend of Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs made exclusively from grapes grown at the Folies vineyard that overlooks the Chateau de la Marquetterie, the birthplace of the Taittinger family Champagne.
TASTING NOTES
Deep yellow in color with golden highlights. The bubbles are fine and delicate.
The intense nose is very fruity, with aromas of peach and apricot compote, with subtle notes of toasted brioche and vanilla.
The palate is full-bodied, smooth and fruity, with flavor of yellow peach dominates. The distinctive and expressive finish delivers light woody notes.
A rich and harmonious Champagne, Les Folies de la Marquetterie is distinctive for its immense richness and complexity.
PAIRING
This “terroir” wine, structured and powerful, is the ideal accompaniment to robust dishes such as roasted meats and fish in sauce.
