KENTUCKY STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY old weller antique for sale
A wheated bourbon with a full-bodied flavor and a balanced palate. Old Weller Antique is bottled at 107 proof, offering a complex taste and bold finish. It’s certainly a recognizable member of the Weller label , with its own WELLER ANTIQUE characteristics to compliment the high proof Buy WELLER ANTIQUE weller antique for sale
A Wheated bourbon with a full-bodied flavor and a balanced palette. The Old Weller 107 (OW107) is a purchase you can feel confident in if you’re looking for an everyday sipper. Obviously it is 107 proof, aged for around 7 years, though it comes with no age statement.
Our single barrel offering is very well balanced with sweet fruit notes, strong vanilla currents, and sharp, spicy tones with a cinnamon finish. The profile is similar to the Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year, which is made at the same distillery, the only difference being the age. It is the same mashbill, aged in the same location, and is cut to the same proof.
TASTING NOTES
Sweet and unusual floral notes and coupled with vanilla. The taste is very well balanced with sweet fruit notes, strong vanilla undertone and sharp spicy tones, with a cinnamon finish.
If you’re a whisky enthusiast with a bourbon collection, you either have Old Weller Antique in your collection or you’re waiting for the next shipment to your local liquor store. Weller bourbons have family ties with Pappy Van Winkle. Back “in the day,” Weller was the bourbon sold by the Van Winkle family that was generally available, and Pappy was the rare stuff. Both products use the same recipe. Contrary to some beliefs, they do not taste the same old weller antique 107 near me
Weller wheated bourbon is sometimes called “Pappy reject” as though the whisky bottled wasn’t good enough for the Pappy brand. As much as I hear this story come out (even in Kentucky), that’s not true. Old Weller Antique was never intended to be Pappy. It is its own whisky, with no identify crisis. It’s terrific on its own..

“A very well crafted whiskey.”

Old Weller Antique comes from the W.L. Weller line of products and is distilled at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky. Old Weller Antique is named after William Larue Weller. He is credited with being the first to make bourbon with wheat rather than rye.
The taste: The first smell is a nice one with caramel, brown sugar and vanilla. A soft taste at first with the continuation of caramel and vanilla, but then a burst of flavor adding in some oak and cinnamon. The finish is a subtle combination of everything plus a little heat that leaves that beautiful taste in your mouth for a short period of time.
This one is a great value bourbon. Availability tends to be hit or miss. Depending on the market, you may want to grab a bottle if you see it. If I’m out at my local store and its not there, I just wait a couple weeks and it is usually back on the shelf. I’ve read a lot about people creating what is called “poor mans Pappy” using blends and different ratios of Old Weller Antique 107 for sale , Old Weller 12 and/or Weller Special Reserve.
